                             Now DE program is Centralized training at DIET/GITC. AIF Trust developed an association with Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan, Punjab in 2012 and signed a MoU for the period of 2 years to impart training to teachers at state and district level. AIF Trust is also imparting DE training to teachers in 50 government schools in Patiala. AIF Trust and RMSA, Punjab has agreed to impart training to subject teachers at DIET/GITC centres together in 12 districts of Punjab from academic year 2013 for the period of 2 years. The training is based on pedagogical concepts (Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking & Collaborative Learning) and integration of technology into curriculum. Each batch of teachers would be given 5 days training per year, out of which 3 days would be taken by AIF and 2 days by RMSA Resource persons. AIF Trust has already developed a training module for DIET level training in coordination with RMSA, Punjab.

In Barnala District 20 DE DIET schools. On 5th Sept 2013, Teacher’s day was observed in 8 schools by DE trainers with the fully cooperation of School staff. DE Trainers conducted a essay writing and chart making competition of the students on Teachers Day. Students from 6th-10th classes were engaged for competition. School students think about their teachers and the perception of Teacher’s day” in each school. Best performers were selected by the school teachers and DE Trainers. Students were given opportunities to share their views with other students during assembly.  Students were also shown their creativity through beautiful drawings. School Head also appreciate best write-ups and the participants with prizes.
